The Lucky Six!

GHR received six baby Syrian hamsters right before St. Patrick’s Day! Their names are Lucky, Shamrock, Clover, Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles. They were born on February 12, 2025. The average life-expectancy for this species of hamster is 2-3 years.

These sweet little babies are from an accidental litter that surprised a family after they adopted a hamster from a pet store. They were able to take care of these sweet little babies until they were ready to leave their mom, and then brought them to us. They are SO cute! They love to run around and explore, but are still nervous to be held. They are spending time in groups right now to learn socialization skills, but will be available for adoption starting April 1.  They will each come with an enclosure containing all necessary items, one bag of paper-based bedding, one bag of food, and one bag of sand.

The adoption fee for each baby is $50.

An additional suggested donation of $50 to $75 is recommended to cover food, bedding, sand, and enclosure materials.

  • Play pen time is their favorite!

  • They love to explore!

  • They are still a little shy.

Items Included in the Adoption

Each enclosure is a 50-gallon plastic habitat with screened lid.

Each enclosure has lots of enrichment, a water bottle, food bowl, and a properly-sized wheel.

All hamsters from GHR come with one bag of food, bedding, and sand for proper hamster care.
