George
GHR received George in late March 2024. George is a male, 2.5-year-old, white, Roborovski (dwarf) hamster. The average life-expectancy for this species of hamster is 2-3 years.
George was rescued from a family in Denver that couldn’t care for him anymore. George is a sweet old man that enjoys burrowing and finding treats in his enclosure. He sleeps most of the time but gets up late at night to go for a run on his wheel. He doesn’t really enjoy being held but would be perfect for someone looking for a companion to watch and take care of. He comes with an enclosure containing all necessary items, one bag of paper-based bedding, one bag of food, and one bag of sand.
The adoption fee for George is $50.
An additional suggested donation of $50 to $75 is recommended to cover food, bedding, sand, and enclosure materials.
