Lily came to us in early December and had no idea that she would become the most wonderful Christmas surprise ever! Nash renamed her Lovey and the family couldn’t be happier! Both mom and dad spent a lot of time at our rescue learning proper hamster care and Nash is learning quickly to take care of this little cutie. We are so happy for them all! Kevin was named after the Home Alone character who was left at home. Kevin was abandoned when his hamster-parent moved out and left him behind, but things certainly turned around for this little guy when Sam found him on our website! Kevin was able to start a wonderful new life with Sam and Sam has created an incredible enclosure with lots of enrichment for sweet Kevin. We know they will be SO happy together and we are so excited that Kevin has gotten a second chance at a family!

Grace and Cheesepuff were so excited to meet each other! Cheesepuff is Grace’s first hamster and Grace did a lot of research about hamsters beforehand. Her family drove a long way in their commitment to adopt from a rescue organization and Cheesepuff was thrilled to meet her forever-family!

It happened! A hammie was surrendered to GHR that Copland just couldn’t part with. This sweet fancy-bear hamster has officially been adopted by Copland himself (GHR founder and Executive Director) and they are both so happy!

Gilbert certainly hit the jackpot with Baylor! Baylor is one of GHR’s long-time volunteers and she offered to foster Gilbert when he was surrendered to GHR over the holidays. It was love at first sight and Baylor quickly decided that she couldn’t be his foster parent - she had to become his forever home! The two are already super close and we couldn’t be happier for them. Gilbert will be joining Fig, Baylor’s Syrian hamster (housed in separate enclosures of course), as a lovable addition to this happy hamster home.
